Anna Samuels, LMSW is a staff social worker at CBC where she conducts individual, group, and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents, and adults. Anna earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Connecticut College, and her Master’s degree in Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work.
Anna has received intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). Prior to her role at CBC, Anna served as a school-based clinician in the Bronx, providing individual and group therapy to high school students using evidence-based interventions for PTSD, mood, and anxiety disorders. Anna also worked in an intensive day treatment program serving elementary-aged children with severe emotional and behavioral concerns as well as learning disabilities. Prior to obtaining her MSW degree, Anna was a case manager at Safe Horizon, where she supported survivors of intimate partner violence and other crimes, providing short-term supportive counseling and advocacy services, and serving on the Manhattan Multidisciplinary Sexual Assault Task Force.
