Arielle Ungar is a Staff Social Worker at CBC providing individual, family and group therapy to children, adolescents and adults. She went to Yeshiva University for her undergraduate studies and Wurzweiler School of Social Work at Yeshiva University for her Master’s degree in Social Work. During her coursework and field experience at Wurzweiler, she specialized in working with those who experienced trauma and received a certificate in Trauma Informed Practice.
Arielle completed an intensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech Institute. She has also received extensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) from the Beck Institute and has extensive experience in working with multiple diagnoses, such as depression, anxiety, trauma and ADHD. In addition, she has participated in CBT-I training for Insomnia through CBT-I Web.
Before joining CBC, Arielle worked in various settings, including schools, hospitals and learning programs. Most recently, Arielle worked at The Jewish Board for Family and Children’s Services in an outpatient clinic where she provided individual, group and family therapy to clients across the lifespan ranging from children to older adults. She also led multi-family and adult DBT skills groups. In addition, she participated in additional training in Motivational Interviewing and Relational Therapy to inform her clinical practice. Prior to that experience, she provided individual and group counseling, crisis intervention and workshops on self esteem, relationships and trauma in middle and high school settings.
