Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants (CBC) volunteered with God’s Love We Deliver to prepare nutritious meals for those suffering from HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses as part of the annual CBC Gives Back event on Friday, Oct. 27. CBC Staff worked a variety of kitchen tasks, including prepping, organizing and packaging the meals.
Each year, CBC Gives Back dedicates a day of service to volunteer for a local cause. Previous CBC Give Back events have included preserving the beauty of Westchester parks with the Westchester Parks Foundation, beautifying Swindler Cove in Inwood with NYRP, packing lunch bags for the homeless with JoyJ, cleaning up and gardening with Lifting Up Westchester and collecting litter along the Bronx River Parkway.
God’s Love We Deliver aims to improve the health and well-being of people living with HIV/AIDS, cancer and other serious illnesses by alleviating hunger and malnutrition. They prepare and deliver nutritious, high-quality meals to people who, because of their illness, are unable to provide or prepare meals for themselves.
