Alexis Reichstein, LMSW, is a staff social worker at CBC where she conducts individual, family and group psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults. Lexi earned her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Houston Graduate College of Social Work and her Bachelor's degree in Psychology at the University of Texas at Austin.
Lexi has received intensive training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Prior to her time at CBC, Lexi worked as a behavioral and family therapist at OCDI Texas, a residential facility specializing in OCD and anxiety disorders. At the OCDI Texas, she was trained in Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with other CBT interventions to treat severe OCD, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety, and other anxiety related disorders. Lexi has also been training in Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE).
Lexi completed her advanced social work practicum at Texas Children’s Hospital in the endocrinology unit, implementing a variety of social-emotional interventions for children with comorbid physical and mental health conditions and their families. In conjunction with her practicum, Lexi worked as a residential counselor at OCDI Texas. Lexi is a member of the International OCD Foundation (IOCDF).
