Intake Coordinator/Staff Therapist

CBC is seeking a full-time staff member to perform a combined role of intake coordinator (approximately three days a week) and staff therapist (approximately 2 days a week). Applicants should be interested in screening, coordinating and orienting clients and their families seeking CBT, DBT and other evidence-based treatments. Additionally, they should be able to provide evidence-based treatment to children, adolescents, adults and families. The ideal candidate will be closely familiar with evidence-based treatments, be accurate and efficient diagnostic skills to introduce clients to the most effective treatment or program for their presenting problem via screening and as provide treatment. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational and time management skills and will report to the Clinical Director.

Intake coordinator duties include taking calls from interested clients or referrals, having knowledge of and ability to explain different programs and treatments, answering questions, opening charts, assigning cases, keeping an organized waitlist and having knowledge of all of the therapist's areas of expertise. This position also requires strong interpersonal skills to meet the demands of clients and their families in distress. This position offers the opportunity to work mostly or fully remote with a team of highly engaged clinicians, as well as to have access to ongoing training and CE trainings if interested.

Staff therapist duties include (though are not limited to): direct service duties to individual/family/couples/group patient sessions, individual/school/agency/corporation consulting, coaching or counseling sessions and/or workshops/training sessions. Toward these duties, it is also necessary to appropriately maintain patient medical records, administrative paperwork, telephone communication with patients, referrants and other parties involved and perform all billing and collection duties in a timely manner.

Neuropsychologist

Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants of Westchester and Manhattan (CBC) is excited to announce that we are seeking a full-time neuropsychologist to help grow the practice and to meet the demand for evaluations and executive function coaching. Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants is a clinical and training center founded by Dr. Alec L. Miller and Dr. Lata K. McGinn that provides cutting-edge, evidence-based assessments and psychotherapy for people of all ages. CBC is committed to providing a compassionate and safe resource with the goal of creating positive and enduring change for adults, adolescents, children and their families.

Our evaluation and learning support team at CBC provides a range of clinical services, including neuropsychological and psychoeducational evaluations, specialized evaluations for individuals with autism spectrum disorder, early career and/or change of career vocational assessments and executive function coaching, as well as educational consultation for school and college-aged students. Our neuropsychological assessment service offers comprehensive assessments for all ages, but our primary patient population is preschool through young adults.

Neuropsychologists interested in generalist pediatric practice are encouraged to apply. Applicants with specialized training in adolescence, early adulthood, families and/or lifespan populations are also welcome. This position would be a good fit for neuropsychologists at any stage in their career, including current post-doctoral students finishing up their training this year or early career neuropsychologists. This position is part-time; however, a full-time position will be considered. Services are currently conducted both in person and virtually. Opportunity for report writing time at home is available.

The ideal candidate would have the following qualifications:

  • Holds a doctoral degree in clinical, school, or counseling psychology from an accredited graduate program
  • Has completed at least two years of postgraduate training in neuropsychological assessment with children, adolescents and young adults
  • Has a knowledge of school-based interventions and systems
  • Is fully licensed or license-eligible in the state of New York
  • Exceptional clinical and writing skills
  • Prior experience with the assessment of autism in children, adolescents and young adults. ADOS-2 Certified is preferred but not required.
  • Is eligible to pursue board certification in clinical neuropsychology.
  • Assessment experience with toddlers and preschool is a plus but not required
  • Assessment experience with adults is a plus but not required
  • Experience with executive function coaching, cognitive remediation and/or organizational skills training is a plus but not required
  • Collegial and team-player mindset

Specific duties include:

  • Provides a full range of neuropsychological diagnostic and evaluative services for children through adults
  • Provides executive function coaching to children, adolescents and adults both in individual and group sessions
  • Makes recommendations for treatment and therapeutic interventions based on the latest research and best practices
  • Consults with families, schools and other treatment providers as needed
  • Supervision and training of school psychology interns completing neuropsychological evaluations
  • Gives presentations and workshops for community organizations

Education and Consulting Manager Job Description

Reporting to the Controller, the Education and Consulting Manager is responsible for managing the administration and growth of CBC’s professional continuing education, training, and consulting programs for individuals, schools, agencies, and organizations. The position requires supporting and coordinating with the Directors of Consulting and CE Training to build and manage these programs.

The position involves overseeing, scheduling, and organizing all training and consulting events for individuals, schools, and agencies, as well as ensuring accreditation compliance with national and state professional board requirements. This role includes drafting accreditation renewals, reviewing educational content and speaker credentials for compliance purposes, submitting necessary documentation for board approvals, and issuing the appropriate credit hours to participants.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support to the directors of the training and consultation related programs;
    • Participate with the training/consultation teams in planning, goal-setting, quality assurance efforts, and maintaining general operations;
    • Coordinate program communications: ensure dissemination of information from program team and administrative meetings to other meetings and administrative team as relevant, assist in gathering and communicating program needs to marketing and outreach, collect and provide referral information from program to marketing and outreach;
    • Facilitate meetings: arrange meetings, manage calendars, create and share agenda, take minutes, collect, follow-up, and report on action items for self, other admin and clinicians to ensure they are being implemented;
    • Drive program operational workflows, create and maintain efficiencies in program development;
    • Manage the materials for the program including inventory, ordering, maintaining, and distributing documents, materials, and supplies as needed;
    • Manage, organize, and consolidate program files and folders in google drive;
    • Responsible for creating, tracking, maintaining, and potentially presenting program data and key performance indicators when needed;
    • Manage consultant caseload database and distribute to each consultant number of schools, rates, frequency of consults, etc. in conjunction with HR/Controller;
    • Coordinate with the Program Directors on business development initiatives;
    • Facilitate a school-based DBT and CBT certification process;
  • Manage virtual and in-person trainings for agencies, schools, organizations and individual professionals;
    • Manage all aspects of training events held on site and virtual including coordinating refreshments, managing IT and AV, managing registration through the website and our training platform, and acting as point of contact for participants;
    • Manage our virtual training platform, which includes training staff to use the platform, assisting trainers with preparing training materials, and coordinating with our vendor to troubleshoot and modify features of the program;
    • Maintain and disperse “Training facesheets” with all relevant information for trainers;
    • Collect and provide trainers with participant evaluations, and collect/analyze other relevant data;
    • Coordinate the CE certification process;
    • Maintain a database of all trainings, participants, and certificates;
    • Secure and maintain accreditation for trainings at CBC;
    • Ensure adherence to accreditation requirements in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of courses offered, including meeting deadlines for submission of reports, forms, fees and certificates;
    • Coordinate the contract processes for agency, school, and organization consulting and professional trainings;
    • Coordinate on school based scholarship initiatives;
    • Assist in the annual budget development process for the training programs.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience working with multiple computer and EMR systems, softwares, webinar delivery platforms and applications, i.e. Zoom, Salesforce, Google Drive;
  • 3-5 years experience in project management and spearheading initiatives;
  • Experience implementing systems and workflows;
  • Experience analysing and interpreting data;
  • Excellent organization and time management skills;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities as well as attention to detail;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Very strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with staff members, vendors, patients, and other professionals;

Client Services Coordinator Job Description

Cognitive & Behavioral Consultants (CBC), a growing mental health practice, is seeking a full-time Client Services Coordinator (CSC) with excellent organizational and communication skills and the ability to help manage, learn from, and support a talented team of 25+ behavioral health clinicians. The position is ideal for a post-baccalaureate candidate interested in eventually applying to graduate school in the mental health field. Included in the position is the opportunity to attend select CBC clinical trainings. Reporting to the Director of Operations, the CSC provides clinician and clinical program support, performs billing functions and provides general operational support for the practice.

Covid note: All CBC employees are required to be vaccinated by July 1, 2021. This position requires one day of work in the office and four days remote until September 1, 2021. After that, all CBC employees will be working their normal office schedules.

General Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the project management of assigned clinical programs, program directors, and coordinators. This includes working closely with clinicians who manage the clinical programs at CBC to ensure that the programs run smoothly
  • Work as a member of the Operations team providing general administrative support for the practice
  • Perform billing duties: process charges in the EMR and charge client credit cards, monitor the billing voicemail and email for billing issues and assist clients, understand fees and corresponding fee structure for all programs and services
  • Greet and assist visitors
  • In conjunction with management, implement and ensure compliance with HIPAA
  • Assist the Director of Operations, Controller and the Co-Founders on special projects as needed

Qualifications

Clinical Researcher

CBC seeks applications for clinical researcher with interest and experience in the area of dissemination implementation science and prevention research. The successful candidate will have a high degree of skill in research methodology and statistics, in managing IRB applications and databases, in conducting, coordinating, and overseeing a wide range of research activities, and in presenting and publishing papers. Training in CBT is essential and experience or interest in DBT is highly desirable. This position offers the opportunity to conduct research in a clinical and school setting, conduct both primary data collection and secondary data analysis, collaborate with senior researchers, and mentor junior researchers. Staff Clinician

Looking for a full-time clinician, who could work in both the east side location in Manhattan and in White Plains. Licensed psychologists and licensed social workers are welcome to apply. CBC is an internationally recognized treatment and training center that provides clinical and wellness services, continuing education for professionals, and custom-designed programs for organizations.
