McGinn and Miller bring their desire to deliver excellence in treatment to CBC along with a long history in academia and research. As professors of Psychology and Psychiatry, they are passionate about teaching and training current and future generations of mental health professionals the tools to deliver quality treatments. They are also dedicated to the continued advancement of mental health treatments by generating innovative research to further the development of effective strategies and sharing this knowledge. They are proud to be leaders in the field of CBT and DBT.
With offices located in Manhattan and Westchester, CBC is an internationally recognized evidence-based center that provides clinical and wellness services, custom-designed programs for organizations, and continuing education for professionals. CBC specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
Dr. Lata K. McGinn, Professor of Psychology, and Dr. Alec L. Miller, Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, bring their decades of experience to provide a space for like-minded colleagues to practice compassionate care. Using strategies proven to be effective through research, CBC helps people create positive and enduring change.
Through the use of evidence-based approaches, CBC provides the necessary structure and tools to assist individuals with issues ranging from life stresses and problems to the full range of mild to severe psychological disorders. We provide services to adults, adolescents, children, couples and families, consultation to schools, agencies, and businesses, and education and training for therapists.
