Meredith Seewald, PsyD

Coordinator of Young Adult Programs (SAGE)

Dr. Meredith Seewald is the Coordinator of Young Adult Programs (SAGE) and a staff psychologist at CBC. Meredith conducts individual, family, and group therapies with adolescents and adults and leads the Sage CBT Program helping young adults overcome avoidance. Meredith received her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in clinical psychology from the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University and her Bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Michigan.


Meredith has been intensively trained in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She has expertise and training in evidence-based treatments for anxiety and mood disorders, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD’s), emotion regulation difficulties, interpersonal challenges, and trauma.

Meredith completed her postdoctoral fellowship at New York Presbyterian Westchester Behavioral Health Center Adult Outpatient Department, where she provided individual and group psychotherapy and assessment to individuals ranging from young adults to older adults presenting with depression, anxiety, PMAD’s, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). She received specialized training in CBT, DBT, and reproductive psychology.

Prior to her postdoctoral fellowship, Meredith completed her APA-accredited predoctoral internship at Northwell Health/Zucker Hillside Hospital, where she provided psychotherapy in inpatient, outpatient, and partial hospitalization settings and received training in psychological assessment. Throughout her internship, Meredith received comprehensive training in women’s mental health, substance use disorders, and DBT. Prior to her internship, Meredith trained at Zucker Hillside Hospital Geriatric Psychiatry Clinic, the Parnes Clinic, Jamaica Hospital Medical Center inpatient and outpatient services, and Brooklyn College Personal Counseling Center, providing evidence-based treatments and psychological assessments to a diverse population of adults across the lifespan.

Broadly, Meredith’s research interests surround expanding access to psychological services. Her doctoral dissertation focused on the prevention of depression and anxiety and the implementation of mental health prevention initiatives in schools and underserved communities. Additionally, Meredith works with a research team based out of New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, piloting a mobile app-based cognitive-behavioral intervention for pregnant and postpartum individuals. She is passionate about utilizing research to improve the quality and availability of psychological services to the broader community.
