We celebrate World CBT Day on April 7th. World CBT Day was launched in 2021 and is sponsored by the World Confederation of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapies (WCCBT) to reflect on the importance of cognitive and behavioral therapies to global health. World CBT Day is timed to coincide with World Health Day, launched by the World Health Organization! We are proud that our Co-Founder, Dr. Lata K. McGinn is the current President of the WCCBT. The key priorities of Dr. McGinn’s presidency are to support the dissemination of CBT in underserved regions of the world such as Africa, to disseminate the WCCBT’s training guidelines globally, and to continue partnering with the World Health Organization (W.H.O) and with governments across the world to disseminate competently delivered CBT.

CBT, or cognitive and behavioral therapies, are evidence-based treatments that help us to manage emotions, overcome daily problems, improve quality of life and achieve valued goals. CBT is used to achieve wellness and to treat a wide range of problems, conditions, illnesses among people of all ages, including #general anxiety #stress, #phobias #social anxiety #depression, #OCD, #PTSD #Selective Mutism #disruptive behaviors. CBT therapies can also help us #sleep better, #overcome procrastination #manage time and #overcome habits.
